Ghettogloss and the Art Directors Guild join together to bring you a collection of fine art from the art departments responsible for the look and style of union movies, television, and commercials. This exhibition of small scale work will include a range of media by the art crews of Hollywood's biggest blockbuster movies. To celebrate this gathering of talent, Ghettogloss will host a campfire reception complete with picnic tables and bug juice cocktails all on a bucolic AstroTurf spread.
The Art Directors Guild IA Local 800, is comprised of Production Designers, Art Directors, Scenic, Title and Graphic Artists; all of whom are design visualization specialists in the art of entertainment design for the moving image and themed design industries. These 1,600 artists represent the leading design professionals from around the world, who through a combination of observation, passion and imagination, translate the writer's words and the director's vision into a physical reality that is both memorable and visually arresting.
Ghettogloss provides an ideal venue for this survey as a gallery specialized in cleared rental art for feature films, television, and commercials. Ghettogloss, a joint gallery and boutique, is located in the trendy Silverlake neighborhood of Los Angeles' east-side.
