Jenny Pockley: Dreamscapes

Jenny Pockley's solo show at Sarah Myerscough Fine Art looks beyond the chaos of London's urban cacophony to present a meditative take on the capital's essence. Landmarks such as St Paul's, the blinking myriad of towers and the tides of the Thames are infused with an abstract light, conjuring up luminous and blazing dreamscapes. Aside from her metropolitan surrounds, Pockley gains inspiration from the abstract expressionists, including Rothko, endowing her brush with the deft delicacy to explore form and colour in their most elemental states.
