THE SOUND OF ART Presents "Sacred Heart: The Jeezus piece experience" by Tony Philippou

You see the flyer: it's pretty much self- explanatory. Check the information below for details of this event. See you at the spot all up in your grill snapping photos!!!

INVITED TO EXPERIENCE SACRED HEART
The Sound of Art is proud to present SACRED HEART – A JEEZUS PIECE, a visual anthology of thought provoking work from artist Tony Philippou. This collection is his ode to a Jeezus that is eternally misunderstood and caricatured. If Jeezus were to return today who would he be? What would he look like? What would he wear? Suits and ties or tees and kicks? The venue for this artistic inquiry is everyone’s favorite downtown Dominican eatery; It’s A Dominican Thing.

Tony Philippou is a fearless artist who pulls no punches and his latest offering is proof positive of his audacious art ethos. In this collection, Jeezus is depicted as the common man, ranging from a biker to a b-boy. As Tony puts it "I feel no restriction to the type's of situations I will put him in whether they are taboo or not." The intention is not to offend but to humanize Jeezus and enlighten the viewer with a Jesus that is more real and relevant.

Fine Art, Fine food and good people – what more can a person ask for. Besides if you miss this exhibit you are going to hell!!!
